Description:
I started this project using some e-mails, the first read: ”feel like voting when you know about PTV” (Transport of Voters Party). Then I received other e-mails offering the services of my Party to take people to vote without proposing anyone as a candidate.
Later I transported voters on the presidencial elections day in 2003. Since then, those who were transported, my relatives, friends and my friends’ friends started joining the party. The project became collective and me, as Founder Artist, devoted myself to the organizational part, proposing that each one performs specific tasks for the Party related to their professions.
In this way many projects came up: a publicist was in charge of the Party image, a firm of architects dealt with a project for the headquarters, etc. We started holding assemblies to show those projects among us and then we held a political performance in a lounge in the center of the city.
In the political performance we announced some of the projects and also the Party’s objectives: to defeat clientelism. The audience (about 300 people) laughed while listening to our projects, they applauded our ideals and even sang the verses of the Argentinian national anthem.
